Our Story

Marty & I were high school sweethearts. Not the kind who have known each other since elementary school and grew up together, having the same classes and groups of friends. No, we went to separate schools, I was one grade younger than Marty, and we didn't start dating until halfway through Marty's senior year, but regardless still high school sweethearts. We were introduced by mutual friends (thanks S & G) and spent practically every weekend together from that first winter day we met until we were married four years later.

Looking back at those times is sort of surreal. Oh how our lives have changed in only five years of marriage. I'm still doing photography & Marty is still nursing but we have certainly added many new hats to the juggling act of our daily lives. I've taken up event planning, teaching, a boutique on Etsy, and Marty has added event catering, antique truck restoration and a home bake shop to the mix (not to mention that we are in the process of adding on to our home & the everyday life of being mommy & daddy to a one-year-old little boy). We have come so far since first getting married...we've had our good times and a few hiccups along the way, lessons have been learned, but this journey continues to be one of growth for our small family of three.

My hope is that this blog will be an outlet for us to share these everyday adventures in parenthood, business, and personal growth; a way to capture the small moments in our life and reflect on them. We shall see I suppose ♥
